Shared Living

At Renewed Vision Counseling and Developmental Disability Center, our Shared Living services provide individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities the opportunity to live in a safe, supportive family-style home while receiving personalized care that promotes independence, community inclusion, and an enhanced quality of life.

Shared Living is a residential service in which an individual lives with a carefully selected Shared Living Provider who offers daily support, guidance, and companionship in a welcoming home environment. This model provides a more personalized alternative to traditional residential settings, allowing individuals to build meaningful relationships while receiving the level of assistance they need to achieve their personal goals.

At Renewed Vision, we carefully recruit, screen, train, and support Shared Living Providers who are committed to providing compassionate, person-centered care. We thoughtfully match individuals with providers based on their personalities, interests, cultural preferences, support needs, and long-term goals to help create successful, lasting living arrangements.

Shared Living Providers assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, medication management, transportation, budgeting, household responsibilities, communication, social development, healthcare coordination, and participation in community activities. Most importantly, they encourage individuals to make their own choices, build confidence, develop life skills, and become active members of their communities.

Renewed Vision maintains ongoing oversight and support throughout every Shared Living placement. Our team conducts regular home visits, monitors the quality of services, coordinates with case managers and interdisciplinary teams, provides continuous training and guidance to Shared Living Providers, and ensures all services remain aligned with each individual's Individual Service Plan (ISP) and Medicaid waiver requirements. We work closely with families, guardians, and other providers to ensure every individual receives consistent, high-quality care in a stable and supportive environment.
