Supported Employment

At Renewed Vision Counseling and Developmental Disability Center, our Supported Employment services help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve meaningful, competitive employment while building the skills and confidence needed for long-term career success. We believe that every individual has unique talents and abilities, and everyone deserves the opportunity to work, earn an income, and contribute to their community.

Our Supported Employment program provides individualized services that assist individuals in preparing for, obtaining, and maintaining employment in integrated community settings. We work closely with each person to identify their strengths, interests, career goals, and support needs, creating an employment plan that aligns with their abilities and aspirations.

Renewed Vision offers comprehensive employment supports throughout every stage of the employment journey. Services may include career exploration, vocational assessments, résumé development, interview preparation, job search assistance, job matching, application support, workplace readiness training, benefits education, transportation planning, and ongoing job coaching. Once employment is secured, our Employment Specialists provide individualized on-the-job support, skills training, employer collaboration, and follow-up services to help individuals succeed and advance in their careers.

We partner with local businesses and employers to create inclusive workplaces where individuals have the opportunity to develop valuable job skills, gain meaningful work experience, and become productive members of the workforce. Our team also works with employers to provide training, education, and ongoing support that promotes successful employment outcomes for both the employee and the business.

At Renewed Vision, our focus extends beyond simply helping someone find a job. We are committed to helping individuals build careers, increase independence, develop self-confidence, and achieve greater financial stability. Employment is viewed as an important step toward personal growth, community inclusion, and an improved quality of life.

We collaborate closely with individuals, families, guardians, vocational rehabilitation agencies, case managers, employers, educators, and other members of each individual's support team to ensure employment services are coordinated and aligned with the person's Individual Service Plan (ISP), career goals, and Medicaid waiver requirements. Through ongoing support and person-centered planning, we help individuals overcome barriers to employment while celebrating every milestone along the way.
